On the transformative power of wrestling with doubt, Henry Nouwen writes:
The journey through suffering and doubt can transform us into compassionate people. When we have wrestled with God in our pain and found Him faithful, we have something to offer others.
As I’ve found myself wrestling deeply and chaotically with my faith over the last 12 to 15 years, I’ve come to realize this is true. The more I have struggled through doubt, the more open I have become to the complicated faith journeys of others.
